Helena is a passionate and experienced voice teacher, and she would love to work with you on your musical journey! Her students range from advanced singers preparing for high-level conservatories and auditions to beginners who just love to sing. As a classically-trained soprano, her approach to vocal technique and pedagogy is scientifically-based and creates a solid foundation for singers of any genre—from opera to pop! She also strongly believes that holistic development is vital to an artistic career, and incorporates elements of movement, stagecraft, and communication into her teaching.

Helena holds Master’s and Bachelor’s Degrees in Vocal Performance from the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University and the Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam, as well as a post-graduate Artist Diploma from Montclair State University. She is currently on the Voice Faculty at Montclair State University and has run her private studio for 10 years in New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. Her ongoing performance career has brought her to opera stages across the US and Europe, and she is the Executive Director of Opera Atlantic.
