About Helena

Helena has received international praise for her unique vocal beauty, expressivity, and versatility as a singer and performer. She has performed in opera theaters and recital halls across the US and Europe, and has recently made her operatic film debut.

        Helena is a passionate storyteller and loves breathing life into characters and poetry from early music to contemporary opera. Her young dramatic soprano voice has been described as “thrilling, with a unique depth” and “glittering with beauty and power from top to bottom”. Her favorite roles performed and studied include Ariadne (Ariadne auf Naxos), Chrysothemis (Elektra), Elettra (Idomeneo), Marie Antoinette (The Ghosts of Versailles), Elisabeth (Tannhäuser), Ariadne (Ariadne auf Naxos), Poppea (L’incoronazione di Poppea), Leonora (Il Trovatore), Mrs. Grose/Miss Jessel (The Turn of the Screw), and Madame Lidone (Dialogues des Carmélites). Helena is on the Voice Faculty of Montclair State University where she also earned a post-graduate Artist Diploma with renowned teacher Beth Roberts. She has recently appeared with Berlin Dramatic Voices, Chicago Summer Opera, Cali Opera Theater, the Trentino Music Festival, New York Lyric Opera, and as a resident artist and board member of Brooklyn Telemann Chamber Society. She is also a co-founder and executive director of Opera Atlantic, a New Jersey-based arts non-profit organization.
